FAQs

we have worked with many businesses including the Royal Mail, UPS, and others to upgrade their fleet to electric vehicles so, yes you can.

Normally we try to upgrade to 100amps free of charge for most domestic properties, we’ll need to visit you (which is free of charge) to make sure. For commercial properties we will need to visit to advise on cost. Please also check with the company you pay your electricity bills to as they may charge for the upgrade of your electricity meter or meter tails (cables between the equipment we own and the meter and between the meter and your fuse box).

You can find a registered Charge Point Installer by checking the government website. Just simply enter your postcode and you will then be provided a list of installers for your area.

Before arranging for the installation of your Charge Point, you will need to check if your existing connection at the property is suitable. You can find help and advice on our fuse upgrade page. Once suitable you will need to make an application or notify us of your connection.

The government have introduced an Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme available for customers looking to install charge points at Home

There are three different types of chargers; slow, fast and rapid. The speed that cars can charge at is determined by how much electrical power (kW) the charge point delivers.

Electric Vehicle Charging Point can be installed at home, at a business or on the highway.

• You will not need to pay Vehicle tax for Electric vehicles.
• Zero emissions are better for the environment and Electric Vehicles are environmentally friendly.
